The Gift of the Nile
Egypt is called the “Gift of the Nile.” The Nile gives fish silt, papyrus, water, and river/road to the Egyptians. The fish were food for the Egyptians. It helped the Egyptians because they had a surplus of fish. The Egyptians surplus of fish allowed people to have other occupations.
Silt is a fertilizer that helps crops grow faster and stronger. It was better for the Egyptians because they could have a surplus faster than usually.
Papyrus is a plant that can make paper, shoes, boats, ropes, hats, baskets, and you could also eat it. This kind of plant is only found in Egypt.
Water you can use to water to crops, and drink the water as well. If Egypt didn’t have water there would be no fertilizer that would make your crops grow faster and stronger, there would be no fish that you could eat, or a plant like papyrus because remember papyrus makes a lot of things.
Finally the river/road helped the Egyptians because the river has fish as food. The Road helps the Egyptians to transport goods to another country or to receive goods. Also they could trade goods exchange for something. It made the life of the Egyptians better now that they had a way to travel but, if they didn’t have a way to travel walk in the hot desert. The Egyptians could also go to a country to share their ideas. In conclusion the Egyptians were lucky to have gifts of the Nile. My opinion is that the Egyptians did a lot of work to survive because all this things they have made or done was really good because they invented shoes, paper, rope, baskets, boats, and hats.

The Nile
The Nile was extremely important to the ancient Egyptians. There are many important gifts that the Nile gave the Egyptians. There are food, water, silt, papyrus and the Nile.

Imagine heat, the sun beating down on you. This would have been a problem for the Egyptians if it wasn’t for the water that came from the Nile. The water from the Nile would irrigate crops. It also gave them drinking water and bathing water. It also gave them fish. With fish they had food. With food they had a surplus. This surplus was huge because every day they could go to the river and get fish Even though the Egyptians liked to be hydrated, like food and liked to be clean the most important gift that the Nile gave the Egyptians was silt.

Egyptians would get silt when the Nile flooded. Silt would be left all over Egypt. This happened once a season but it would last a year. Silt was a fertilizer. It would give them food, help crops grow. By that the surplus would be everlasting. Silt would help everything grow everything except papyrus.

Papyrus was the one thing that grew all over Egypt. Papyrus was helpful. It was able to be used as paper. With this people were allowed to read and write. It was also used to write taxes, history, records and laws. It was also shoes, rope, baskets/shaduf, hats and if you were really poor you ate it. Papyrus was also used to carry cargo because people would use it to make boats.

The Nile helped as a river and a road. The Nile lead to a ocean so they could go and trade and share ideas, trade and transport goods. You would also get to travel to one place to another.

Even though the Egyptians were in the middle of a desert they had the Nile and for me I think they were the luckiest settlement ever. They had all these things at their fingertips.

The Nile
There are many rivers in the world and they all are special their own kind of way but The Nile river in Egypt was very special and Important. If the Nile wasn’t here Egypt would be dry. Egyptians would have a hard time finding food and water.

Egypt called the Nile River the “gift” of Nile because it gave everything they need. What I mean is that the Nile was like a store. The Egyptians got gifts that helped them survive. The Nile was a very long river. To Egypt, the Nile was a “hero”.

The Nile supplied all kinds of stuff like food, water, Papyrus, silt and the river. The Egyptians used silt as fertilizer for their plants. They also used fish for food and they used water to irrigate crops. Papyrus was used for many things such as paper, shoes, ropes, baskets, hats, boats and food. The last thing was the river its self. They used the river to trade and travel.

The Nile’s gifts helped Egypt to grow as a civilization. The food from the river helped feed Egypt’s growing population. Also the surplus of the food allowed people to have other jobs for them. The silt from the river helped Egypt have their plants grow bigger and stronger. The water also had food surplus. Papyrus helped Egypt’s civilization because they could use it to write laws and make taxes. The river was an easier way to travel for the Egyptian’s. My opinion for the gift of Nile was that not everyone would have survived. The Nile really saved us.

Ancient Egypt was a very successful and complicated civilization. The Nile River, which was located in Egypt, helped to make the society develop. Without the Nile everyone who lived in Egypt would not survive. Some people say that Egypt is the gift of the Nile. In this essay, you will find out why.
Egypt was the gift of the Nile because the Nile provided food, water, fertile soil, and transportation. The river allowed boats to travel for trade of goods and ideas. What was traded? How did people get their wealth? What did they buy from other places?
Probably one of the most important parts is the plant it grows called papyrus it looks like a thin bamboo the Egyptians used it to make paper, hats, boats, shoes, ropes, baskets, and more. And even some poor people would eat the plant. It only grows in Egypt and nowhere else.
Transportation was used for a lot of different things like trading goods, ideas, crops and wheat. It made the Egyptians life easier so they didn’t have to walk through the hot desert because when they arrived at their destination they would be hungry, thirsty and weak.
The Egyptians used fish as food of course. Without the food it supplies the Egyptians wouldn’t be able to have a surplus. The fish allowed the Egyptians to have other occupations.
The Silt it provides was used for fertilizer which helped plants grow bigger and stronger.
The water was used for irrigating crops which grew wheat, barly, and crops for a surplus. And the other things I listed above.
In conclusion the Egyptians were very lucky to have all of the gifts the Nile brought. Without the Nile the Egyptians wouldn’t be able to survive.

Ancient Egypt was a very successful and complicated civilization. The Nile River is in Egypt, and helped Egypt in a lot of things. if it wasn’t for the Niles gifts the Egyptians would not be have a lot successfulness .

Egypt was called ‘’the gift of the Nile “because without the Nile Egypt would not existed. Because the Nile gave soil, water, food, Transportation and Papyrus. The food gave them fish and grapes and clams. They had a surplus of food they were very lucky to have the Nile.
The papyrus was a plant that only grew in Egypt. That can make boats, hats, paper, shoes, ropes, baskets, also you could eat it if you were hungry.
The transportation helps the Egyptians in a lot of things. For example it made the Egyptians in life because instead of walking in the hot desert they could travel faster and easier. And if the Egyptians didn’t have transportation they would arrive to their destination hungry and thirsty, and weak.
Silt is a fertilizer that helps crops grow faster and stronger. It gives the Egyptians a surplus of food.
Water makes the crops of the Egyptians grow and also the Egyptians could also drink the water because they could die of thirst.
Without the gift of the Nile Egypt would not survive. Without all that, Egypt was really lucky to have the gift of the Nile. I love Egypt.

The Nile River is like a present – one being received and one being given. A way it was received was because without the Nile, Egypt would not be here now. People were able to settle near the Nile because the Nile supplied food, water, supplies, etc. That is why it is also like a present being given to the Egyptians. The Egyptians were eventually able to build things out of what the Nile supplied, and the Egyptians were able to grow food. Those things gave the Egyptians a surplus of whatever they needed. Because of that, the population of what became Egypt started to grow exponentially until people were able to start a civilization. The Nile gave more than enough things.
Egypt was called the “Gift of the Nile.” Without the Nile, Egypt would be a dry, barren wasteland. The Nile, first of all, gave silt when it flooded the land. Silt helped Egypt grow food and plants. The Nile was also a great water supply for drinking and other uses, and in the water were many crustaceans and types of fish. Growing on the banks of the Nile was a type of plant called papyrus, which contributed a lot to the success of us now. The Nile also provided travel. The Egyptians used all of these things to make their lives better.
The Egyptians had many uses for the things that they were supplied with. For example, the plant papyrus that grew could be used in many ways. It could be written on. It could also be built as a boat or other modes of transportation. It could be built as a shaduf. And in desperate times, some poor people had to eat the papyrus to stay alive. The Nile, since it was like a river road, could be used to trade and travel. Silt, which came on the land when the land was flooded by the Nile, was used as a fertilizer to grow plants. Because they had a ton of plants, the Egyptians built irrigation canals so that the plants could get water, but in order to fill these canals, they used the shaduf, which carried water to the empty canals. The crustaceans were used as food that was cooked, but mostly only the rich people ate them. Egypt grew and grew as a civilization and more people became part of the community.
More people came into the community because people grew healthier because of the surplus of food that came out of the Nile, and the surplus let people do other, more important things instead of looking for food for the whole day. The surplus let people care for their kids or take care of important work. Egypt’s population grew higher. Also, because of the silt that helped grow the plants, people could eat most of what came out of the plants, like corn, wheat, barley, and other healthy things. People were able to grow crops. The water was another big factor in the growth of food. That all added to the surplus, which was huge back then, thousands of years ago. The word paper is derived from the word papyrus. Papyrus could be written on then. People could start to keep records, history, laws, taxes, and other things that Egyptian’s government thought was important. But the river helped the most. Egypt’s success was not just their own; the river could be used to go to other places and trade ideas with other communities. Those things mainly shaped Egypt’s civilization.
The Nile gave Egypt, and when Egypt got the Nile, they were able to become a successful civilization. The Nile helped the community a lot. A mix of ideas, surpluses, supplies and the Nile shaped ancient Egypt. I think that without ancient Egypt, we would not be as smart as we are now. Egypt was a gift to us, but Egypt was definitely a “Gift of the Nile.”

Egypt was one of the most successful ancient civilizations ever. Would they have been if they did not have the Nile? The Egyptians would not have had a chance of survival if it was not for the Nile. The provided food, water, papyrus and silt. It also provided the river in general to sail upon. The Nile was a gift to Egypt.
Egypt was called “the gift of the Nile” because without the Nile, Egypt would not have existed. Without the Nile Egypt would just be like a huge sandbox with no water and few plants. Only special animals like snakes would be able to survive in the land of endless sand. The Nile helped fertilize plants by providing silt. It also gave the Egyptians water which they could use in many different ways. It also gave the Egyptians food like fish or clams. Papyrus was one of the most useful things the Nile provided. It had many different uses. The river was also good because it gave them a place to sail. Without the Nile, there would be no pyramids because they used boats that traveled on the Nile to move the huge blocks. The Egyptians used these resources to help their community grow.
When the river flooded it left silt all over the land. The silt was used to help plants grow. Silt was called “black gold” because it was so valuable to the Egyptians. Papyrus was used to make paper, boats, ropes, shadufs, baskets, shoes, hats and some poor people even ate it. It was probably the most important plant to the Egyptians. The Nile is a fresh water river so the Egyptians could drink from it. They could also bathe in the river. They could also build irrigation canals to water the plants. All of these gifts helped build Egypt as a civilization.
The Nile used the food they got from the Nile to feed the growing population. They also had a surplus of food which let them have job specialization. The silt also helped the Egyptians get a surplus of food. The Nile did not just supply a surplus of food; it also gave the Egyptians a surplus of water. Papyrus gave them transportation (boats) and paper. Paper was very important, they could keep records, write down taxes, history and laws. The river helped the Egyptians transport goods and even ideas. All of these things helped Egypt become the most successful civilization ever.
Without the Nile, Egypt would not have been as successful. In fact, there probably would not have been any civilization in Egypt if there was no Nile. The Nile provided a place that would be almost impossible to take over. I think the Egyptians were very smart to set up a civilization next to the Nile. Egypt was a “Gift of the Nile”.

The Nile River was a key factor to the success of the Egyptian civilization. The Nile’s gifts helped the Egyptians start a civilization. If there was not a river running through Egypt, there wouldn’t be any Egyptians living there. The Nile’s gifts helped by making a surplus of food, and made it one of the most successful civilizations back then. The Egyptians used the silt, water, river/roads and papyrus to help the people grow as a civilization. These were some of the gifts that the people used to help them grow as a civilization.
Some of the Nile’s gifts were paper, boats, rope, hats, food and baskets that were all made out of papyrus. Papyrus is a weed found on the Nile River. The boats that the Egyptian people made out of papyrus helped Egypt trade with other civilizations that were growing just like the Egyptians. The Egyptians traded ideas, and in return, the Egyptians got blocks that made the pyramids. The Nile was an easy way to trade goods. Papyrus was made into paper so they could record, write laws, and write taxes. The foods that the Egyptians ate were fish. Fish from the Nile were used as food. The fish from the Nile helped Egypt’s ever growing populations. The surplus of food allowed other people to have occupations. Water was used to drink, dig trenches for crops, and to bathe in. The water made them grow big and strong. People wouldn’t settle in Egypt if there wasn’t a river that ran through it.
Egypt called the Nile “the gift of the Nile”. Egypt called it the gift of the Nile because it helped them stay alive by giving them water, silt to grow healthy crops, and food. The Nile gave the people water so they didn’t die of thirst. The Nile supplied food like ducks, fish and other birds along the outer banks. Once a year the Nile’s flood left silt that was really rich fertilizer.
I think Egyptians are smart because they made a boat out of a weed that grows on the Nile River. The pyramids are 2, 000 years old and are still standing today; the Egyptians must have thought that through. Egyptians were also very skilled at painting. They were advanced for their age and were still using there tool today.

The Nile was very important to the Ancient Egyptians. From food, to a very unique fertilizer, they are all very valuable to them. They are called “The Gifts of the Nile,” and so is Egypt. So now you might be asking “What are they?” “Why are they important?” and “Why is Egypt called the Gift of the Nile?”
Egypt is called the Gift of the Nile because without the Nile, there would be no civilization. Why would people settle down in the middle of a desert with no water? I couldn’t imagine why. People wouldn’t be able to survive. But, since the Nile is there, people can have water, food, and many others things I will tell you about later. It makes the lives of people much easier. Now, Egypt isn’t the only gift of the Nile. There are gifts from the Nile, too.
Some of the Nile’s gifts are fish, water, silt, papyrus, and river/ road. What I mean by the river/road is that the Egyptian used the river as what we think of as a road; transportation. They used boats to trade different goods. But if they want to get across the river, don’t they need a boat? They sure do! That’s where papyrus comes in. Not only can papyrus make boats, it makes paper, shoes, rope and baskets, shaduf, hats, and food! Another thing that the Nile supplies for the Egyptians is silt. Silt acted as a fertilizer for their crops. Once a year, the river would flood, and when it settled down, it would leave silt that would help the plant grows. And of course, the Nile provided water for the Ancient Egyptians. They needed water to drink, or they wouldn’t be able to survive. They also used it to bathe, and irrigate crops. It also supplied food. There are fish in the river, and other animals, so that gives them food to eat. This helped the whole civilization, but how exactly?
These things above helped grow a civilization. The food from the Nile helped Egypt grow as civilization because the food was enough to feed everyone. This surplus of food allowed people to have other occupations. That is also like water. The silt helped Ancient Egypt grow as a civilization because it helped plants grow big and strong, and again, it leads to a surplus of food. Papyrus helped Ancient Egypt grow as a civilization because it helped make many tools for special jobs. It since papyrus made paper, it allowed people to right down taxes, history, records, and laws. Transportation from boats on the Nile helped Egypt grow as a civilization because they could trade things, transport goods and ideas to and from other civilizations.
Ancient Egypt probably wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the Nile. The Nile served many purposes for many things, and all these helped Egypt grow as civilization. I think the most important is papyrus because it made many things, and a lot are very important to their civilization.

There are many rivers that are very important to their people. For example the Hudson River is important to New Yorkers. But no river was more important to their people as the Nile River was to Egyptians. Without the Nile River we would not be what we are today.

Egypt is considered the gift of the Nile because without the Nile River, Egyptians wouldn’t be able to settle in Egypt. This is true because Egypt is desert and the Nile River was the big source of food and water. Everyone needs food and water to survive. The Nile River helped Egypt have a surplus. So without the Nile River a lot of Egypt’s people would die of dehydration and starvation. Parts of the Greeks and Romans civilizations are based off of Egypt’s civilization. Most of our laws come from the Greeks and Romans civilizations. All of this is because of the Nile River.

There were a lot of gifts that the Nile gave. One gift that the Nile supplied was fish. Egyptians used fish as food. The Nile River provided a huge supply of fish and animals to eat. Another gift that the Nile gave was silt. When the Nile floods silt is left behind. Silt helped Egypt’s crops grow big and strong. Another gift that Egypt gave was papyrus. The Egyptians used papyrus to make paper, boats, rope, baskets, shoes, hats, and food. One gift that the Nile gave was a road. People used the Nile to travel to long routes.

All of these gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization. The fish helped feed Egypt’s population (which was getting bigger and bigger). This surplus of food helped Egypt’s people have other jobs. The silt helped the plants grow bigger and stronger. It helped the Egyptians have a surplus. The papyrus helped Egypt write down laws, history, records, and taxes. The Nile helped Egypt trade and transport ideas and goods to other civilizations.

The Nile was super important to most civilizations around the world. It was especially important to Egypt. Without it most countries would not be where they are today. Most of countries laws came from ancient Egypt. Egypt’s writing also inspired other civilizations. Ancient Egypt was one of the most successful civilizations because of the Nile River.

The Nile is very important to the Egyptians. The Nile gave the Egyptians so much. Like food and many other things. Egyptians used everything they could from the Nile. There are crocodiles and hippos that live in the Nile. That’s why they have to be a little careful.

The Nile River helped Egypt to be one of the most successful ancient civilization. There was a lot of things that made it successful. The main thing was the Nile River. Without the Nile, people on Egypt would not live. The Nile gives so many different things to Egypt. Egypt was called the gift of the Nile because if the Nile wasn’t there the Egypt civilization would not exist. The Nile supplied the Egyptians with fish, water, silt, papyrus and a road. River road, to go trade to different civilizations.

The Egyptians used the Niles gifts in many different ways. The Egyptians ate fish , the fish was usually dry. They made a spear and stabbed the fish. Silt is a fertilizer it helps crops grow faster, stronger and healthier when the river floods silt is left behind. Water was used to drink, they took a bath in it and water crops. Papyrus was used for many ,many different things. Like paper they used to record laws and contracts. Boats, rope- shaduf, baskets , hats , shoes, and poor people ate it. It is in these ways that the Egyptians used the Nile’s gifts.

The Egyptians used the fish to make a surplus, because there was a lot in the river. Silt also helped the surplus of food, because it grows fast. Water to them stay clean, they drink it to stay hydrated. Papyrus made a lot of things for them. They used the boat from papyrus to trade and get different types of food and tools. The river/ road helped them travel to move on. Say if one land has one thing they don’t have, and they have something they don’t have they will trade. If they find another land and the same thing happens they get more and more stuff.

The Egyptians used the Nile River for everything. To eat, to be clean and more. They used the Niles gifts to help survive. They used them in many different ways to do different things.

People might ask “How did Egypt survive as a civilization, when it’s surrounded by deserts?” The answer is The Nile River. The Nile is a big provider of most of the materials Egypt needed to survive. The Nile provided silt, water, papyrus & a river/”road.”
Egypt is called the “Gift of the Nile” because The Nile was like a barrier to Egypt. If an army wanted to attack Egypt they wouldn’t walk through the desert because they would be to weak so they would use the Nile and the Nile isn’t that long so people would see the army and stop them. Egypt also used The Nile’s primary water source for irrigation, and for its water supply. This brings me to next topic….
How was the Nile’s gifts used by the Egyptians? Well as I said in the introduction paragraph The Nile provided Silt, Water, Papyrus & a River/ “Road.” Silt was used to help the crops grow, because it was a natural fertilizer. Silt was made in the spring when water would run off the mountains and would flood the Nile, creating a rich soil called Silt. Water helped Egyptians irrigate their crops, Bathe and drink. Papyrus is used for many things, but the most frequently used for paper. The Nile was used as a river/ “road.” Everything was used for different things like…………..
Silt was a natural fertilizer that was used for crops. What it did was helped the crop grow so they can domesticate the crops to make BIG crops. Water irrigated crops, gave people water to drink & water to bathe. What irrigation took water from the Nile and watered the crops. Papyrus was used to make history, records, taxes, & laws. For instance: Every time there was a law that was made they would take a piece of papyrus and make paper and write it down. The River/ “Road” was used for trading and traveling, when a(n) Egyptian wanted to get somewhere they would the Nile.
In my conclusion The Egyptians where a very civilized group of people because the Nile. It helped Egypt grow as a civilization by giving them “gifts.” Egypt grew to be a very successful civilization.

The desert. Plain sand. Nobody can dwell there… Unless there is a river. The Nile River helped people develop a civilization. The Nile River helped people grow crops, have water to drink, and helped people live, in general. This is why the Nile River is important.

“The Gift of the Nile” is Egypt. Egypt is called “The Gift of the Nile” because without the Nile River, there would be no Egypt. Or no people living in Egypt. The Nile River is the only water there is in Egypt. It helped people develop a civilization. That is why Egypt is called “The Gift of the Nile.”

The Nile’s gifts were used by the Egyptians. Fish were used as food. Silt was used to grow crops and plants. Water was used to drink, bathe, and plant. Papyrus was used for… well, everything, I guess. The “Road” for transportation was the Nile. A way to go from place to place in an easier fashion. The Nile’s gifts were used by Egyptians.

The Nile’s gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization. Food helped them have surpluses and not worry about food while creating inventions. Silt helped specialization. Crops get water. People could record ideas, trades, and taxes using papyrus. “Road” to transportation gave an easier way to go places. The Nile’s gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization.

“The Gift of the Nile” is a great place to live. That is why the Nile River is really important towards Egyptians. Just Remember: “The Gift of the Nile”

Helped Egypt a while!!!

The Nile River was a crucial part of the Egyptian’s civilization. The Nile River gave Egyptians their resources. Without the Nile, the Egyptians would not have settled where they did. Their location, with desert surrounding them, gave them protection from invaders. The river allowed them to live and thrive in the middle of otherwise uninhabitable land. There were also many gifts that the Nile gave to them.

Egypt was called the gift of the Nile because, the Nile River was the reason we have heard about the Egyptians today. The Nile River helped the Egyptians make a food surplus. That meant that they could have a civilization and grow many crops so that not many people would go hungry. The food surplus helped them thrive and survive.
One of the things that the Nile gave them was Silt. Silt was what they called black gold. Slit was a fertilizer that occurred every time water rushed downstream they made Silt. They used Silt to fertilize their plants, which helped them create a food surplus. The Nile also gave them water. They used the water to irrigate crops. They also used it for drinking water. Another thing that grew along the Nile was Papyrus. Papyrus was the resource that they used the most. They made their own paper with papyrus. They made it by pounding the papyrus flat and then pounding another layer the other way. They also made boats which they used to travel along the Nile. They used the Nile River as their roadway to exchange and trade goods. They also fished for the fish in the Nile.

The Nile was really helpful to the Egyptians and their civilization. The gifts of the Nile were one of the reasons that they could have a food surplus and so that they could settle and have a civilization. The papyrus was helpful because they could then write laws and record history. Without the water from the Nile, they would have starved and dehydrated in the desert.

In conclusion, the Egyptians were ahead in their time. They were really smart because they used all of their resources well. They used papyrus for paper, and they also made boats with it. The Egyptians were very resourceful and intelligent to use the Nile for many different things.

I think that if the Nile River was never here, on earth, then the Egyptians would not have such a good civilization. The Nile River gave the Egyptians everything that they needed to survive. It gave them life. It gave them the possibility to grow papyrus. Papyrus can be used as paper, food, boats, roofs, and shoes. The Niles gifts were used by the Egyptians. They were smart and they used everything that the Nile gave them. The Niles gifts helped Egypt’s civilizations in the 3,000’s grow into one of the most widely known civilizations of the past. It also made them smarter. They could write down things and the never ran out of food. Egypt was called the Gift of the Nile.

Why was Egypt called the Gift of the Nile you ask? Well, because if there was no Nile River, then there was no Egypt. So basically every thing that happened all started with the Nile. In the flood season, the Nile filled with water and it rose. When it went back to its original position, it left behind very fertile land that was perfect to grow on. The crops that you grew on the fertile land were always very good and strong. The ancient Egyptians called this the Gift of the Nile. The Nile also gave a lot of different gifts.

The Nile gave many gifts. These gifts were used smartly by the Egyptians. The Egyptians used something called the shaduf, which was made out of wood, to take water from the Nile, in flood season, and put it in little canals to let the crops have water all year round. The Egyptians also fished in the Nile. They caught a lot of fish and then sold them at the market. People then fried them and they ate them. If you were really poor, then you wood eat papyrus. The Egyptians used the gifts to become a bigger and better civilization.

The Nile’s gifts helped the Egyptians become a better civilization because since they could catch hundreds of fish, they could sell all of those fish and get a lot of money! Then they can use that money and make a lot of war things. If they had a lot of war things they could conquer more land near the river and get a lot more fish. And if they had much more fish, then they can get much more money! The Nile’s gifts also helped the Egyptians to grown as a civilization by giving them water. They used that water for a lot of things. They used it to bath, drink, and to water crops. Now let’s sum everything up.

With all of these things, the Nile is the main source of Egypt and of all the history that happened there. The Nile’s gifts are very generous but I think that they will end soon. The Nile has been giving things for too long. I think that the Egyptians should repay the Nile somehow.

The Nile was extremely important to the ancient Egyptians. They used it for almost everything. They used it for food, water, paper, boats, fertilizers, rope, baskets, shoes, trading and transportation. As you see the Nile was very important to the ancient Egyptians. They used the Nile to supply food, water, crops, and trade ideas and items with other civilizations. The Nile helped Egypt grow as a civilization. There were many other ways the Nile helped the Egyptians.
The Niles gifts were used in many ways by Egyptians. They used the rope that was made out of papyrus in a device called a shaduf. They use the shaduf to retrieve water from the Nile. They used the shaduf so they wouldn’t have to face hippos and alligators. This is just one way the Egyptians used the Niles gifts. The Niles gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization.
The Niles gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization in many ways. One way the Niles gifts helped Egypt grow is it provided them with a food source so they could make a surplus. It also helped them trade ideas with other civilizations. By doing this they could get new ideas and invent new things.
The Nile was helpful in many ways to the Egyptians. It helped them get food, water, and trade ideas with other civilizations. They used it for those ways and many more.

The Gift of the Nile River

Egypt is a very cool country but right now I’m going to focus on one thing, the thing that most likely made Egypt, Egypt: the Nile River. The Nile gave Egypt many things; a nickname, a civilization, a history, etc. let’s start with Egypt’s nick name, “The Gift of the Nile.”
Egypt was called “the gift of the Nile” because without the Nile Egypt would be a desert. No civilization at all. Egypt would be close to nothing. The Nile brought people in and they started making a civilization. As the civilization thrived the Nile continued to give Egypt gifts in these ways.
Papyrus was the staple crop of the ancient Egyptian civilization. The citizens used it for shoes, paper, baskets, boats, rope (irrigation, shaduffs), clothes and more. The river also supplied water. The Egyptians were very clean people. They bathed a few times a day. You would need a good bit of water for that. Once a year the river floods, depositing silt onto the area where the crops grow. But how did these things make ancient Egypt flourish?

The silt makes the crops healthy and strong which makes the people strong and healthy. The papyrus gives the Egyptians something to trade and transportation. Ancient Egypt had everything that makes a perfect civilization. What a perfect role model!

The Nile’s Gift
Egypt was a very advanced civilization. Egypt is called the gift of the Nile because without the gift from the Nile witch was water Egypt wouldn’t exist and it would be all deserts. The Nile’s gifts were used for many things for examples: transportation, food, silt, papyrus, crops, and water to drinks. Also those things help Nile gift grow by transportation people in boat. Papyrus was used for writing, trading, recording and ideas.
The Nile would not exist if there was no Nile. Think of it, if there was a Nile 15,000 people that do not have water or a food source. So 15,000 people would die of t trying to living whatever this place would be called they would die any (from a week or less.)There would be no paper to write on.
The Nile’s gift was used was used by the Egyptians for water to bath in and shower and wash there hands. Because mothers let there children go out naked every day only till they struck puberty. Because it would cause more distractions instead of working and every time they got dirt they needed to do laundry and wash there clothes. It would just be easier for every one. Another thing that they used was the Nile for trading food papyrus ideas, silt and crops.

Egypt had a very advanced and hard civilization and the Nile was a big part of it because. They made papyrus and you can use papyrus for write, recorded ideas, and we get food the only thing about the Nile is that you have to be careful of the hippos and alligators because there in the Nile and if you fall in you can get killed. Image put yourself in there shoes.

That’s why it thing with out the Nile there would not be and Egypt wouldn’t be a state or a civilization

Egypt Essay

I think the Egyptians were very resourceful people with their surroundings and they always use everything. Egypt was considered the "gift of the Nile”. I'll write about how the Nile River’s “gifts” were used by the Egyptians and how the "gifts" helped Egypt grow as a civilization.

Egypt was called the "gift of the Nile" because without the Nile Egypt would be only desert and there would be no big civilization. Egypt has used so much from the Nile to make their civilization better and still have the Nile be a good place.

One “gift” of the Nile is papyrus; papyrus was a gift because it was used for everything from paper to boats to shoes. Another gift is well… the Nile because it serves as a “road” for transportation. By this I mean ideas, trade, and travel could go to other parts of Egypt all along the Nile. The Nile was also used for water in bathing, drinking and watering crops. The silt and annual flooding was a “gift” because it would help with crops and food.

These "gifts" helped Egypt grow as a civilization. The silt and flooding helped with crops and that led to a surplus, which led to a civilization. Another "gift” that is sort of related to the last, is the water from the Nile. It was used to water crops to make them bigger and better. This next "gift" is the Nile being used for transportation. The river was used to bring ideas to Egypt for different boat ideas or good rules/laws and lots of other ideas to make Egypt a better place. It was also used for trade which brought money into Egypt.

I hope I’ve helped explain about how lots of "gifts" were used by the Egyptians and why Egypt was nicknamed the “gift of the Nile”. I think how the Egyptians used those "gifts" proves how useful the Egyptians are with their surroundings.

The Nile River is a very important part of ancient civilization. The Nile supplied the Egyptians with many different resources that they need to survive and grow as a civilization. Almost everything the Nile supplied for the Egyptians had multiple uses, which made the Ancient Egyptian gain importance by sharing their ideas with other civilizations. Egypt was called ”The Gift of the Nile.”

Egypt was called the “gift of the Nile” because without the Nile, Egypt wouldn’t have been a civilization. Egypt wouldn’t have been a civilization because people wouldn’t settle someplace without a water source. Some gifts are water, papyrus, silt, fish, and a river, which was basically their road.

The Egyptians used the gifts in a way that they found more than one use for most of the gifts. The fish from the Nile were used as food. They would dry the fish out so they can preserve it and store it. The silt or “black gold” that was provided for the people when the Nile flooded served as a natural fertilizer. The silt made the plants grow faster and a lot better. They used the water to drink, bathe, and irrigate their crops. The papyrus that grew along the riverbanks of the Nile was used to make boats, rope, baskets, a shaduf, shoes, hats, food for poor people, and they pounded it out and layered it to make paper. The Egyptians used the river to trade and travel. One thing they traded was their ideas. All of these resources helped Egypt grow as a civilization.

The resources helped Egypt grow as a civilization in many ways. Fish helped them gain a surplus of food to feed the people in their civilization. With the surplus of food, the people were able to have other jobs other than looking for food while being food insecure. Silt helped the plants grow faster and better so they had another surplus of food that made them stay around longer and create a civilization. Water was very important in their life. It was so important because Egypt it is a desert. They needed the water because the desert is dry sand with wells of water. The wells dry out because they are small and Egypt is really dry which makes all the water evaporate. The river is too big so the people didn’t have to worry about it evaporating completely. Papyrus was important because with the paper they made out of it; they wrote their laws, history, records, and taxes.

The Egyptian civilization was one of the smartest ancient civilizations in the history of man. They stretched the use of their only resources, which made them become more important and grow in the ancient times. They wouldn’t have existed if the Nile wasn’t there in Egypt. We are very similar to them. We probably got many of our ideas from them.

I think the Egyptians were useful with the Nile River and were very resourceful. They used the river to bathe about 3 times a day. I also think there resourceful because they use papyrus in many different ways. The Egyptians used the Niles gifts to grow as a civilization.
Egypt was called the gift of the Nile because about 90 percent of Egypt is desert. Without the Nile they would have no recourses. The Nile starts in the high mountains of central east Africa and flows north into Egypt. Many Egyptians lived on the river valleys. Without the Nile, Egyptians civilization wouldn’t exist. The Egyptians used the Niles gifts by doing things like using the water to irrigate crops. The Egyptians bathed and gathered drinking water. Papyrus is a big gift from the Nile. It was a reed like plant that grew from the Niles bank. They could also go fishing in their boats made of papyrus.
The Nile’s gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization because it helped them with trade. They were able to take their goats up the river and trade with other towns. It helped them so they didn’t have to walk up to towns are on the other side of Egypt. The Nile was also a road for transportation. It was a road for transportation because they were able to travel and share ideas with other towns along the river.
In this essay, I taught you about The Gift of the Nile and why it was called that. I also taught you about how the Egyptians used the Nile for resources. And lastly, I taught you how they used the Nile to help them grow as a civilization. I hope you learned something new.

The Hudson River is a big gift to us. It positively affects the way we live today. Speaking of rivers and gifts, another big gift that also happens to be a river is the “Gift of the Nile”. But this gift isn’t for people in the 21st century that live in Croton. It was a gift for Ancient Egypt over 2,000 years ago. It helped to develop their civilization. The Nile River was very important. The Nile gave the Egyptians water, papyrus food, and more. Those things helped to grow the civilization by allowing ideas to pass through, crops to be grown, and start specialization. That’s the best kind of gift. Without the Nile, there probably wouldn’t be many living people in Egypt; or any Egypt at all.
But why was Egypt called the “Gift of the Nile”? Only because without the Nile, Egypt wouldn’t exist. Or it would just be desert. They got a lot from the Nile because they were smart enough to take advantage of a river living close to them, and they survived for a long time! The Nile gave them, for example, water. Water isn’t just for drinking; it was also used for bathing and watering crops. That’s three things, just from water!
The Nile’s gifts were used in many ways. The Nile gave the Egyptians lots of gifts including: silt. The Nile would flood and mix dirt and plants together to make the best kind of soil called silt. There was also water for bathing, drinking, and watering crops. There was papyrus, a plant grown by the water to make paper, shoes, rope, baskets, and you could eat part of it! One very important thing, in my opinion, is a pathway for transportation. You used boats to get across the river to trade/transport and to share ideas. Nothing would become modern if you could not share ideas. It’s what led to a sophisticated civilization.
The Nile’s gifts led to civilization in lots of different ways. Silt led to more food (you would use the soil to grow crops), which led to a surplus, which led to specialization. A surplus of food led to specialization because a surplus allows people to have other things to do than worry about where their next meal came from. They could do other things like start to specialize. Water led to watering crops, which led to more food, surplus, specialization, exactly like the silt. Papyrus allows you to record trades, taxes, and more, which lets people today to learn about the Egyptians. The Nile River is a transportation device. It allows Egyptians to get ideas to other places, as I said before. The Nile helped the Egyptians mature as a society.
Like the Hudson River to us, The Nile was a gift to the Egyptians. It aided them and made their lives flourish. It helped them live and it guided them to civilization. Without the Nile, Egypt would be one giant desert; unpopulated, and untouched. Without water, papyrus, silt, and transportation from the Nile, Egypt would be a Croton without a Hudson River. It just wouldn’t be right.

If I were to live in the past I would live in ancient Egypt because the Egyptians were very smart. The Egyptians were smart because they used all their surroundings for a good purpose. As an example, the Egyptians used papyrus for many different things like food, boats, baskets, rope and paper. The Egyptians used the Gifts of the Nile in many ways. They used water for drinking, fishing and bathe. Also the Nile’s Gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization because it gave them swimming, fishing and boating.

Egypt was called The Gift of the Nile because without the Nile River then Egypt would just be desert and no one would live in Egypt. But even if they did live in Egypt they would not be able to bathe, drink water and they would be really hot. Another gift that the Nile gave was papyrus. Papyrus was a gift because it gave them paper, food, boats, baskets and rope. That is why Egypt is called The Gift of the Nile.

The Nile’s Gifts were used by the Egyptians. They used water for many different reasons, like bathing. Also, the Egyptians used the Nile for boating, drinking and swimming. This is one of the Nile’s Gifts.

The Nile’s Gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization because it gave them fishing and swimming and they were able to boat on the Nile. This is how the Nile’s Gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization.

I concluded that Egypt grew a lot as a civilization and as a whole culture because of the Nile River. The Nile River helped the Egyptians by giving them water and papyrus. They both were used in many different ways in the civilization for many, many years. I know that the Gift of the Nile helped the Egyptians live life better because of the Nile River.

“Gift of the Nile”
Thousands of years ago, humans began to build civilizations. One of the most well-known early civilizations was Ancient Egypt. The Nile River flows through Egypt. The Nile helped the Egyptians build their own civilization because without the Nile, there would be no crops and water to feed the people, and there would be no people living there and Egypt would be all desert. The Nile provided the things that Ancient Egyptians needed. That is why Egypt is called the “Gift of the Nile.”

Like I said before, Egypt was called the “Gift of the Nile” because the Nile provided things that the Egyptians could use to survive. Since the Nile is a river, people could catch fish. Also, every year, floods happen. People grew a plant called papyrus. Papyrus was mainly used for paper. With the Nile, people could trade and transport. But there are more gifts from the Nile.

When people caught fish, they would eat them. By feeding other people, there can be more people which means more population. Silt (similar to dirt) and floods create soil and water to grow plants and crops, like papyrus. Papyrus was also used for shoes (sandals), boats, food, ropes, baskets and more. For transportation, the Nile supplied a “road” for it. You could use boats to cross the river.

The floods helped Egypt grow as a civilization because the floods gave water for the plants and crops to grow to have a surplus (an extra amount) of food. You could also use water to drink. For papyrus, scribes would use it to record ideas and Egyptian history. When using transportation, people would use camels and boats to go to different places to transport goods and share ideas. That is how Egypt grew as a civilization.

Without the Nile, there would be no civilization for Egypt, no people, and it would be all desert. With helpful resources like the Nile nearby, there is a civilization in Egypt. Ancient Egypt is one of the first great well-known civilizations. I think they were really smart to use all of the resources around them.

The Nile River was a very important part of ancient Egyptian civilization. The Nile supplied resources, gifts like food, water, transportation, paper, fertilizer, and (etc.) (etc.) That is how Egypt was called “The Gift of the Nile.”
Egypt was called “The Gift of the Nile” because; if there was no Nile Egypt wouldn’t exist. It was also called the “The Gift of the Nile” because; the Egyptians would get food, water, silk, transportation, and paper from the Nile. The Egyptians would use those goods that the Nile gives them to trade, eat, drink, wear, and make. In addition it was also called that because, in upper Nubia I will rain and the Nile will have more water. So the Egyptians could use that water to water their crops. Thats why they called Egypt “The Gift of the Nile.” These are some of the things the Egyptians used.

The Niles gifts were used by the Egyptians for many different reasons. Silk was used by the Egyptians, they used it to fertilize their crops to make their crops grow big and strong. The reason they used it is because, silk is a natural fertilizer for the crops. Another thing they used is papyrus. They used papyrus to make paper, baskets, and other things. They made things out of papyrus to put things in the basket if they made a basket and to write things like laws and other things. That is how the Egyptians used the Niles gifts.

The Niles gifts helped Egypt grow their civilization by getting food from the Nile and the food surplus would grow. Then people would have more food to eat. It also helped the Egyptians by trading goods. If you wanted something you would have to trade something to get that thing. Silk helped them because it made the crops grow big, faster, and stronger. That is how the civilization grew.

All of these things were very important to the Egyptians. All the things like water, food, and other things. That is how they called it “The Gift of the Nile,” how the Niles gifts were used, and how the Niles gifts helped Egypt grow a civilization. These thing very important to the Egyptians.

“Imagine no Egypt. It’s easy if you try. This could’ve been a reality. No Egypt without the Nile. You may say I’m a dreamer. But I’m not the only one. I really did my research. There would be no Egypt without the Nile.” So true, there would be no Egypt if the Nile didn’t exist. Egypt has been called “The Gift of the Nile” for quite some time, but what’s the reason? Also, the Nile gave the Egyptians many rewards, one of which was life, but the other gifts gave them ways of survival. The Nile’s beneficial gadgets helped Egypt grow as a civilization in many ways. These gifts were better than birthday presents from your friends, they were even better than winning a lottery ticket. These gifts gave life; they were “The Gifts of the Nile”.

Egypt is called the gift of the Nile because without the Nile, nobody could live there. This is because the Nile is Egypt’s only source of water, and every animal on planet earth needs water to survive, especially humans (Egyptians), and cats (Egypt’s animal of worship). Also, because the Nile is a river, it helps grow crops, it contains fish, it gives a path for boats to travel on, and it gives plants certain nutrients they need to survive. All these gifts were used by the Egyptians in various ways, and helped Egypt grow as a civilization. Plants, animals, crops, and transportation were involved in Egypt’s history in many ways as the Egyptians learned to create useful tools out of the gifts along the Nile.

The Egyptians used the Nile’s gifts a lot. They created devices to make jobs, simpler, easier, and even manageable. One of the clever tools that the Egyptians created was the shaduf. A shaduf was a very helpful object used by the people of Egypt. It consisted of an upright frame suspended on a branch. On one end of the branch there was a bucket or reed basket, and on the other end was a counterweight, possibly clay or rock. This tool was used to pick up water or other useful materials to higher ground so you didn’t have to make 20 trips filling the basket and emptying it again and again and again. There were other elements along the Nile used to make tools, too, some of which were crops. Papyrus was one of them. Papyrus was weaved together to make paper, baskets, shoes, boats, food, and rope. Many of Egypt’s tools helped them grow as a strong, well known civilization that is still important to us today.

Egypt, one of today’s greatest, most well known societies, is still growing, thanks to the Nile’s gifts. Papyrus, shadufs, silt and many others all took part in Egypt’s major growth as a civilization.Egyptians mixed berries, water, and other liquids and colors to make sorts of paint, which both men and women wore every day as a type of make-up. This made Egyptians look “classy” and more intriguing. It attracted other colonies to trade with the Egyptians. Egypt had a lot to offer, since they had the Nile, and other settlements kept coming back for more. Egypt soon became very well known and was considered a civilization. Egyptians were hard-workers as well. They created wondrous pyramids to tower over Egypt’s barren deserts. This was very impressive for a settlement at their time and Egypt was recognized as “ahead of their time”. Papyrus also helped Egyptians move forward. Papyrus could create paper, which they recorded information on. From then on, they would be able to let future territories build their civilizations from what the Egyptians knew by simply just engraving hieroglyphs into papyrus.

Egypt stood out amongst many other civilizations because from the minute they began to develop their society, they understood what it meant to live. Knowing this, they worked hard to create a life for themselves that really fit what they believed they could achieve. This, my friends, is The Gift of the Nile.

"Gift of the Nile" by Porcupine

Imagine you lived in the desert. There is no river for water, no food, and no people. The chances of you surviving are 1 out of 100. North Eastern Egyptians didn’t have to worry about this. They had the Nile River; this enabled the Ancient Egyptian people to become more advanced. Egypt was able to thrive because of “The Gift of the Nile.”

Egypt was called “The Gift of the Nile” because the Nile River supplied the Egyptian people with almost everything they needed. Without this, Egypt would be nothing but an oven hot deserted land. For example, the Nile provided water. Egypt is a desert and water was needed to drink. But water from the Nile was used for more than drinking, it was used as a road for transportation, watering crops, and bathing. Using the Nile provided a way of life for Egyptians.

Egyptians used the Niles gifts for almost everything. An example of a gift is papyrus. Ancient Egyptians used papyrus to make boats, shoes, ropes, paper, and baskets. Egyptians also ate the papyrus plant. Another gift the Nile supplied was floods. When the Nile flooded, the water gathered dirt and soil. After the flood the wet dirt and soil (silt) turns into a prodigious fertilizer. The fertilizer helped the crops grow. Another example is the Nile itself. The Nile was a road for transportation using boats. One more thing the Nile supplied was underwater food. No one would have to be hungry. All these gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization.

An example of a gift from the Nile that affected Egypt as a civilization is seafood. With all the seafood people could dry it and preserve it. Because there was so much saved food people could focus on different jobs. This is called specialization. In addition there was silt. Silt made better crops. This leads to a surplus of crops so more people could specialize in different areas because they did not have to be concerned with obtaining food. In addition the water from the Nile affected Ancient Egyptians. Water was a way to learn about new ideas. Other civilizations could travel along the Nile and spread ideas. Papyrus also affected the civilization; Egyptians could record their history, trades, and taxes. All these “gifts of the Nile” helped the Egyptian civilization flourish.

Ancient Egyptian people were able to thrive in the desert because of the Nile. The Nile affected the development of their culture. Ancient Egyptian civilization lasted for 2,000 years. I believe their civilization was so advanced due to using all the gifts of the Nile which they had at their disposal. What gifts are helping advance our culture today? Possibly we wouldn’t have what we have today if Ancient Egyptians hadn’t been so advanced.

If I were to live back in 3100 B.C. I would want to live in Egypt. For one because the Nile goes right through the middle of the Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt. Also they bathe a lot, and they are very smart when it comes to using there sources. And there are more reasons also. One reason is the gift of the Nile. It’s called the gift of the Nile because it helped people. It helped people because it supplied many things. It gave them water, food and it gave them a place to bathe. The Nile gave the Egyptians that, and much more. And that’s why it’s called the gift of the Nile. The egyptions used the Nile in so many different ways. One way the Nile helped them was that it kept them clean. The Egyptians used that to stay clean every single day probaly twice a day. Another way they used it was to get food. The Nile made it very easy for them to get food like fish. It was easy because they didn’t have to go hunting as much as people that lived in other places. And also have to worry about the viscous hippos. And that’s how the egyptions used the Nile. The Nile helped the Egyptians grow a lot as a civilization. It helped them because they had a surplus of food. A surplus is where they have extra food in storage. The surplus leads to specialization. Specialization is where everyone in the civilization speacilizies in one job, and that’s the only thing they do. So if you’re someone who makes clothes you wouldn’t be hunting. And that’s why specialization helps the civilization grow. Another reason the Nile helped them grow as a civilization was the papyrus plant. Not only was it good for eating but it was also good for other things to. It was used for making paper, shoes, ropes, baskets, rafts, and boats. The boats were very helpful for the Nile; the Nile helped the people get to different places. And the way that the Nile helps with this is that it gave the papyrus water which made the plant grow larger and which made there surplus bigger and gave them more supply’s. And that’s how the Niles gifts helped the egyptions. And in conclusion the Nile helped the Egyptians so many ways. Between makings eating very easy for them most of the time. To pretty much making there every day life’s easier. And to me the Egyptians where very lucky that they had the Nile, and they were very smart to use all there resources around them.

When I got to the beach, I hate walking on that hot sand. It burns my feet and I'm constantly jumping up and down from the heat. Luckily, the ocean is right there for me to cool off. In the desert, the sand is even hotter and they don’t have a river or stream to quench the heat. Except in Egypt. And that’s called the Nile River. Egypt is called “The Gift of the Nile” because of that. Egypt needed the Nile River, and here’s why.
Egypt wouldn’t have had a population without the Nile. They used it to bathe with the pounding heat, and got their food and water from the river. Although they did have to watch out for attacking hippos!
Egyptians used the objects from the river in many ways such as food, water, soil, shoes, paper, rope, baskets, and a lot more. They were so many things to use and the Egyptians used them. They used fish as food, water for drinking, and silt was a dirt/soil that had a lot of nutrients that got washed up and used as fertilizer. Papyrus was SUCH an important plant for the Egyptians because there was so many ways to treasure it such as shoes, paper, boats, rope, baskets, and many poor people would eat it. The boats that they made out of papyrus were very resourceful so they could trade and travel more, which helped them grow as a civilization.
Egyptians grew as a civilization over the years. And the Nile River was the main reason. Fish and silt helped by produce or being food to the big population, causing a surplus which lead to specialization. Water helped crops grow bigger and better and not shrivel up from not enough hydration. Papyrus was used to make paper, which they could use to record taxes, ideas, history, and trades. The boats got ideas out faster generating more knowledge.
Egyptians lives so long ago but still had such good ideas. It’s hard to think that in 1070 B.C. people could use their surrounding in so many ways. Although it’s now dead and forgotten, Egypt was a great place. But now, in every hop at the beach and relaxing “ahh” once I step foot in the water, I’ll always remember Egypt. And how great the Egyptians were.

Do you know why Egypt was called the Gift of the Nile? I know and I’ll tell that this and more in this essay. These are what will be included. Why Egypt was called the “Gift of the Nile”, how these gifts were used, and finally how it helped Egypt grow as a civilization. That’s it I hope you like it.
Egypt was called the Gift of the Nile because there would be no people in Egypt if there was no Nile. The Nile practically saved the Egyptian people. It was the biggest gift. It gave them life by supplying them with silt (Good soil for crops), food, water, rope, transportation by boats, and paper. The Nile was their savior.
These gifts were used by making papyrus (a plant that grows on the banks of the Nile) food, rope, baskets, boats, and paper. The Niles water would supply them with something to drink. It also would be used to bath in. They would also use the Nile as a path for transportation they would ride boats down it.
The Niles gifts helped Egypt grow as a civilization by giving them a surplus of food and water. That’s what you need so you can have a bigger population. This also helped with specialization by giving them more people so they don’t have to master more than one job. With the boats (made from papyrus) they could travel faster and more efficiently. That also helped by letting them get more ideas from different areas across the Nile.
So I have hope fully taught you why Egypt is called the Gift of the Nile. How they used those gifts. And how that helped them grow as a civilization. Thanks for reading. I hope you liked it.

The Nile River was extremely important to the Egyptians. They used the Niles gifts to grow as a civilization. They used water, silt, and papyrus to help grow and create a surplus of food because of this people could super size there civilization. This is why Egypt was called the gift of the Nile.

Egypt was the gift of the Nile River because with out the Nile Egypt would be a small tribe that would be a tribe of people that would have died out quickly or Egypt would have never been. But with the Nile Egypt super sized itself, making it the most advanced civilization of its time. Plus the only entrance was though marshlands or hot desert. The Nile gave Egypt so many advances by giving it gifts and a trade route. No civilization had a chance to over come Egypt. Egypt ruled with its mighty gifts.

The Egyptians used the gifts in many ways. Papyrus was one of the best gifts that the Nile supplied. It was cheap so the poor and rich could get it. They used it as paper to record and write. They also used it for shoes and boats. The poor also ate papyrus but it did not taste that good. The rich did not eat it at all. But the poor still ate it because it was one of the big, cheap things on the market. They also made ropes out of it, which helped them pull stone that they used to make pyramids helping the civilization grow.

Foods from the Nile could feed Egypt’s ever-growing population. This extra bonus to Egypt helped get them a surplus of food. That surplus of food helped when there was drought and there were no crops. When that happened they had the surplus of dried fish, which you guessed it, it came from the Nile.

Basically Egypt and the Nile were super good friends. Egypt might have never survived through the first day and there might have never been a great pyramid or the word pharaoh. The Nile River was an integral part of Egypt and its fair to say that without the Nile River, Egypt may never have existed.

The Nile River was very important to the Egyptians. Egypt was called "Gift of the Nile" because they used many "gifts" from the Nile River. The Nile's "gifts" were mostly used for food. The Nile's "gifts" also helped Egypt grow as a civilization. There was a fertile dirt called silt coming down the mountain during flood season. The Nile also helps make a surplus of food, which leads to specialization. The Nile also supplied Papyrus, a multi-use plant. You could make paper, shoes, rope, boats, and much more. You could even eat it! Those are some reasons on why Egypt was called "Gift of the Nile".
The main reason Egypt was called "Gift of the Nile" was because nothing would survive without the Nile being there. They need a source of water to drink, bathe in, and water crops with. The Nile also supplied food for the Egyptians, like fish and other things. Silt was also very helpful to the Egyptians, because it made their crops bigger and better. It was fertile dirt from the mountain. Egypt would be all desert if the Nile was not there. The Nile also gave Egypt "gifts".
The Nile gave Egypt many "gifts". Most "gifts" were used for everyday life. Some "gifts" were, silt, food, water, fish, crops, and more. The "gifts" also helped Egypt grow as a civilization.
The Nile really helped Egypt grow as a civilization. The "gifts" helped make a surplus of food, so people did not have to worry about their next meal. They could try something new, and not have to farm all the time. But not everyone quit farming, so there was still food. That was called specialization. The Egyptians also used the papyrus boats to use the Nile as a road for transportation. Then they could share ideas, and trade their goods.
The Nile was a great help to the Egyptians. It gave them many "gifts", and let them live and survive there, and helped them grow as a civilization.

Imagine there was no Nile River. Ok, now imagine what Egypt would be like if that was the case. Nope, I’ll stop you there; you can’t do that, can you? Without the Nile River there would be no Egypt. The Nile supplied water, food and Papyrus. Papyrus is a very important plant. The Nile was a way to transport from Upper Nubia to Lower Egypt. The “gift of the Nile” was all those things and one more. Egypt, their whole society was the “gift of the Nile,” along with the things the Nile gave the Egyptians. The Nile’s gifts were all they had so anything they did was linked with the Nile. Egypt would not have survived over 2,000 years without the Nile River.

Egypt itself was called the “gift of the Nile” because to put it simply it thrived because of the Nile. The Nile River kind of gave Egypt to the modern world as a groundbreaking civilization. They were a gift from the Nile to us. Imagine the Nile wrapping up Egypt and giving it to us, or rather putting it on the land next to itself. A gift for us to discover. But there was another “gift of the Nile.”

The other way that term was used was for all the things Egyptians found in and around the Nile River. It supplied them with food, such as fish and edible plants like papyrus. Even though you could eat it, that wasn’t the only use for papyrus. Papyrus could also be used to make paper, shoes, baskets, rope, and boats. The Nile was also a passage, so they could use boats and get around. It also supplied water that they could drink and bathe in. It might not have been that clean, but it was useful.

The Egyptians used all these things, and it helped them grow as a civilization. The food the Nile gave them made a surplus. The surplus made it so not everyone had to spend all day getting food. This led to specialization. They could do other jobs. They could be scribes, builders, doctors, and whatever else was needed. Egyptians bathed in the Nile a few times a day. This was cleaner. Cleanliness led to less sickness. This led to more population, and longer life span.

Basically, the Egyptians were very lucky to have the Nile River. They were the “gift of the Nile”. They got gifts from the Nile and because of that, their civilization thrived for over two thousand years. I personally think Egypt is awesome. I guess that means the Nile River is too. I also really like that they were clean. That’s a good quality.

Ancient Egypt was probably the most advanced civilization for their time. Their main key to success was the Nile River. Without the Nile River, Egypt would probably never have survived. The Nile River supplied them with food, water, transportation, paper, fertilizer for crops, shoes, and many other things. Also, without the Nile River, it would be almost impossible to settle in Egypt because Egypt is completely a desert without the Nile River. The Nile River was clearly an essential part to the start of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Egypt is considered the gift of the Nile because Egypt used many gifts in many different ways. The Nile River gave Ancient Egyptians papyrus, water, food, a road for transportation. Ancient Egypt used their gifts very well.

One gift from the Nile is water. Water is probably the most important gift because without water you wouldn’t be able to drink or bathe. Without water you also wouldn’t be able to have food because you need water to grow crops, and also without water there would be no animals to hunt for food. Another gift from the Nile River was fish. Fish was very important to the Egyptians because fish is food and you need food to live. A third gift from the Nile River to Egyptians was papyrus. Papyrus was used for almost everything. Papyrus was used for boats, shoes, rope, baskets, and they even ate papyrus!
Another gift from the Nile was silt. Silt is a kind of fertilizer. Every snowstorm all the snow would pile up around the Nile. the snow would then melt, causing the Nile River to overflow. since the Nile flows North, all the water is flushed out into the Mediterranean Sea, leaving behind all the dirt and mud. the Egyptians gather this and used it as fertilizer. One last gift from the Nile is transportation. As I said earlier, the Nile gave Egyptians papyrus which they used as boats. Also, the Egyptians used the Nile as a road for transportation with their papyrus boats. The Egyptians also used the gifts to help them grow as a civilization.

Having a surplus of extra food lets people not always worry about their next meal. This would let people try new things like writing. The papyrus plant let Egyptians invent new jobs like basketry. Silt helped a lot with agriculture, which made it possible to grow a large surplus of food. And like I said earlier, a surplus leads to job specialization. Egypt was very advanced in the world for their time.

The Nile River was clearly a huge part of ancient Egyptian civilization success. Without the Nile River and ancient Egyptian civilization who knows what the world might be like? I believe that all because of the Nile River ancient Egypt was the most advanced civilization.

A long time ago, the papyrus plant emerged from the the Silt because the Nile River made the silt from sand and water. The Egyptians made everything out of the Papyrus plant. They made blankets, baskets, chairs, paper, shoes, rope etc.
The Nile River makes more Papyrus and Silt because it's their natural fertilizer. The Nile River provided many things for the Egyptians like fish, Silt, transportation and wet lands. The Egyptians called those things" gifts of the Nile". The Egyptians used Silt for fertilizer, fish for food and wet lands for crops.
The Nile River really helped Egypt grow as a great civilization. They got what they needed to survive from the River. They would trade the things they got and made from the Nile River like the the Papyrus plant, varies kinds of fish, Silt, shoes, blankets, clothing, robes etc. The Nile River was and continues to be an important surce of lie for Egypt.

In the desert world known as ancient Egypt, there were the Egyptians. A powerful empire that would survive for very long. You may say how did the Egyptians survive? They had a large secret. The Nile River! The Egyptians used there powerful river to have many uses.
One of the many uses is transportation. This meant that the Egyptians could use boats to get along the Nile and could use trading with other civilizations now. They could also go fishing!
Papyrus was a very cool it even made paper! It also made boats and lots of other things Papyrus was one of the largest uses of the Egyptians. And of course you can eat it.
Another help was Silt it was very helpful because it fertilized the crops. Many of the Egyptians used it and it was great to have fresh fertilized crops. It was very easy to have food now for the Egyptians and was a great start for humanity.
Now you can see what the Egyptians did with their crops. And all the other resources with the Nile river. And you can how they really survived. With the power of Nile!!!

The nile river was called the gift of the Nile because it gave gifts to the egyptians like fish was to eat. Water was used so they can take it with them and since Egypt was very hot they drank water . Fish was food to eat and to create a surplus of it. They used the river to travel on to deliver goods and food. There was a plant that the Egyptians made shoes, hats,it was also to eat.

A lot of people in the world get gifts. Gifts that you give and gifts that you get from Santa, but I want to talk about a special gift. The Gift of the Nile! Egypt was called the Gift of the Nile because it provided fertile soil for the crops. The Nile gave the ancient Egyptians many gifts. Thanks to the Nile, Egyptians had fresh water to drink and clean water for bathing. The Nile supported transportation and trade. It provided materials for building, for making cloth for clothes, and for making paper.

Many of these items were made from the wild papyrus weed that grew along the shores of the Nile. Papyrus was used for making many things such as, paper, rope and baskets. It was also used for food (if you were poor). The Egyptians also used papyrus to make a boat so they could go fishing and feed their family.

The Nile helped the Egyptians grow as a civilization by providing them with everything that they needed to live. As mentioned above, the Nile gave the Egyptians, food, clean water, fertile soil to raise their crops and animals. Everything a growing civilization would need to survive.

In conclusion, the Nile was like the heart of the Egyptian people. It provided the Egyptian people with ability to grow food, make clothes, build homes and create boats to provide transportation on the river. Everything a growing civilization would need to prosper.

The Nile was a gift to the Egyptians. I know what you’re asking what do you mean gifts? The gifts were anything the Egyptians used for survival and all of them helped them grow as a civilization and as Egyptians grew their civilization grew too.
The Nile was a gift of life. Without the Nile all the Egyptians would have died and our lives might be different. We might not have pets; the Egyptians were one of the first civilizations to have pets. We also might not paper the Egyptians were one of the first to write on paper instead of stone tablets. We also might not have shoes. If the Egyptian didn’t have the Nile we might not have the lives we have today. The Nile was also a gift because it gave gifts.
The Nile gave many gifts and the Egyptians used them in many different ways like silt, fertilizer for plants washed up from the Nile when it flooded once a year and fertilized your crops for you. Also there is water, it hydrates you so you can live and it also used it to irrigate crops. Another thing the Nile gave to the Egyptians is a giant road/river so people could trade with other villages along the Nile. Papyrus was used to make boats to sail in the Nile, rope to tie things up, and baskets to hold stuff, shoes so you wouldn’t cut your feet. Hats to shade you from the blazing sun, and the poor ate it. Fish so you could eat from the Nile. And the best of the best paper, so you could write things down! And this helped them grow as a civilization.
Many things helped the Egyptians grow as a civilization but the gifts of the Nile helped a lot. Silt helped plants grow big and strong so they could domesticate the big ones. Water helped plants stay hydrated and healthy. Papyrus allowed people to write documents, laws and other important communication. The river/road allowed people to trade and transport goods and ideas with other civilizations.

The gift of the Nile was a very important gift. But why was Egypt called the gift of the Nile? How were the Niles gifts useful to the Egyptians? And how did the Nile’s gifts help the Egyptians grow as a civilization? Want to know the answers? You’re just gonna have to on keep reading.

So why was Egypt called the gift of the Nile? Well, if there wasn’t a Nile there wouldn’t be any food, or water. And without food and water there would be no people. And it was miles to the Red Sea or the Mediterranean Sea, and I don’t think they would want to walk that far. So all in all there wouldn’t be an Egypt without the Nile.

The Egyptians used the Niles gift in many ways. They used the papyrus that grew on the shores of the Nile to make boats, paper, shoes, rope, baskets, and even food. Obviously they used the water. You know for all the usual reasons. Like bathing, drinking, and watering crops, crops lead to food and food leads to…

So the Nile gave water, which lead to silt (dirt picked up by floods), silt gave them fruits and veggies, many fruits and veggies made up surpluses, and surpluses lead up to villages. Wow! But people needed to live in houses right? So they had people building houses, and people making clothes, and the farmers too. Sounds like job specialization to me (hint hint!) And all of that made up Ancient Egypt’s civilization.

So I definitely think that the Nile was one great present that the Egyptians got! There were so many ways the Niles gifts helped the Egyptians survive. Plus it really made the Egyptians grow as a civilization. Hey, aren’t you glad I told you why Egypt was called the Gift of the Nile?

Did you know that Egypt was one of the most successful ancient civilizations in history? Well, if you don’t, I will tell you in the next couple of paragraphs. You probably didn’t know that the Egyptians had a special gift from the gods, called “Gift of the Nile”. Here’s a little fun fact, did you know that the Egyptians lived on the Nile River because it produces so many resources that they could get everything they need from the river. You can here me talk about these resources in the next few paragraphs. If you think you know what I’m going to say about the Nile River, I bet you didn’t know how the Nile River helped the Egyptians keep their civilization strong and healthy. I’m going to tell you a couple of really eye popping things about the great Egyptians and the Nile River.

The Nile River is called “Gift of the Nile”. The most important reason why it’s called “Gift of the Nile” is because it’s water in the desert. If there was no water in the desert, there would be no Egyptians, and if there were no Egyptians, Greeks and Romans wouldn’t have existed. In fact there wouldn’t be any us and humanity would not be what it is today. We wouldn’t be nearly as advanced as we are today. Another reason why the Nile River is called “Gift of the Nile” is because the Egyptians obtain many resources like, silt, water, papyrus, and food, such as fresh water sea animals. I just want to go back to the silt, if you don’t know what silt is, I will tell you. Silt is soft and rich soil that helps the Egyptians crops grow and bloom out fresh and not icky like mucky hard soil. Also, you probably didn’t know what papyrus is? Well do ya? Well, I will tell you, papyrus is a flower that could be made into paper, boats, baskets, rope, hats, and shoes. The last thing why the Nile River is called “Gift of the Nile” is because, for the Egyptians the Nile River is like a road, because they get on their boats and trade items or share ideas. Those are some of the reasons why the Nile River is called “Gift of the Nile”.

The Nile River helped the Egyptians. The thing that helped the Egyptians most is paper. The way that paper helped the best, is writing and sharing ideas. If you were a Pharaoh (top of the class) you would write a message and send someone to share ideas, such as laws, transportation vehicles, or new types of machinery. However, that’s not the only thing that helped the Egyptians, another way the Nile River helped the Egyptians was with silt. The way silt helped was by making the crops silky and smooth. The reason why the crops bloom shiny and fresh was because the soil was soft and supple. These are some of the reasons how the Nile River helped the Egyptians.

The Egyptians used the Nile River as a natural resource. The way the Egyptians used the Nile River for a natural resource the most was for food. The higher class people ate fruit vegetables, and meat, where as the lower class people usually ate fish only. Another way the Nile River helped the Egyptians is with rope. People don’t realize how important rope is for this civilization, but I do. If they didn’t have rope, they couldn’t lift heavy objects, or pull in boats and dock them. Also if someone was stuck a cliff or a pyramid, rope would be a great help in getting them down. These are some of the other ways the Egyptians used the Nile River.

Did you know that the Egyptians didn’t plan to live in the desert and if it wasn’t for the Nile River, the Egyptians wouldn’t know or anyone else for that matter that water does exist in the desert. The Egyptians wouldn’t survive or most of them wouldn’t have made it for many years, because they would have dehydrated and died, and that wouldn’t be good! In conclusion, we can thank the Egyptians for discovering the Nile River.

Egypt was called the Gift of The Nile because it was a gift to the Egyptians. The Egyptians were so thankful for the Nile because the Nile saved all of the Egyptians life. The Egyptians got food (fish) and water from the Nile. The reason Egypt is a country is because all the people survived from the Nile and made more people and it kept on going so that’s how Egypt people were made.

The Niles gift was used by the Egyptians a lot. The Nile was used because everyone got food water and transportation. People were able to get food because they fished out fish and ate them. People were able to get water because the reached in cupped their hands and drank the water. People were able to get transportation because they built a boat and sailed down the Nile. That’s how the Nile was used.

The Nile made Egypt grow as a civilization because it made people work together and help each other. People met at the Nile and became friends and gathered near the Nile at morning and midnight. That’s how the Nile made Egypt grow as a civilization.

I hope all these facts got you interested into learning about the Nile.
