Because of the way my summer is planned out, I will not be able to attend Camp Dirt. I do think that we should be going outside to just check out the garden AT LEAST once a week. We should be testing the soil, planting, drawing, and taking notes. I remember last year my class (Mrs. Dillon's class) did a lot of work on the garden towards the end of the year. We had one day where we spent the whole morning outside, weeding, sketching, and trying to prepare the garden for the future. Everybody had fun, and we we were productive. I know many kids like to spend time outside, and I totally agree with them. THe name for the garden is perfect (Outdoor Learning Lab), and I feel nature is one of the biggest topics we should know about. In My opinion, the more time we spend in the garden, the better. More fun, more learning, and more fresh air.
I would definitely want to participate in any planting or work we do as a class, if we do any. I also really like the idea of cooking with the vegetables and herbs that we grow. If students could be involved in that, I would be interested.
I would like to plant food and explore cooking in what we are studying now, which is Greece. I would like to get everyone invloved in our class and try to have everyone make food from the plants we have grown. It would be so much fun...and I love food :D!
What I would do is: By planting seeds Mabey take the summer program Learing math/science/social studies/reading ext. Tending or working to make the garden better watering, planting, observing, learing about the plants.
PLANTING SEEDS! Planting is really fun and also educationl. It would give me a sense of how some people really lived off the land. Also having a chance to harvest the things we grow.
I not really sure what I want to do yet. I really have not thought about this that much, so I really don't have a clear answer. If possible I would like water or plant the seeds. Maybe I would be intersted in the composting, but watering or planting the seeds my first choice.
I'm not sure what I would like to do because I really havent thought about it that much but it might be cool to water the plants since its easier then some other stuff but I can still say I helped.
I would like to be involved in the garden by being able to harvest the crop or water the plants. I water my plants every morning. I find it fun to do a job like that because I feel responsible to the plants growth. I love to harvest things from my own garden because it reminds me of how some live like this, getting 100% of food from gardens or animals that they own. I find it fasinating to live like that. I love being able to announce at the dinner table, "I harvested those tomatos and lettuce!". I would like either of these jobs in the garden.

I would like to be involved in the garden by helping to choose the plants, and figuring out where to put them.I would also like to help by checking the plants to see when they need water, plant food etc.
I am pretty much flexible to do anything but if I had to chose I would want to tend to the plants more like you know, watering and stuff, but I am not really a fan of staying outdoors and playing. Seems like a lot of people would like to plant the seeds, I admit I like that too but I would like to do something different, I am fine with anything but weeding.

Hmm, well I guess I could bring in shovels/ tools and whatnot.
I am not really sure
I'm not a fan of planting seeds, I'd rather do more of the tending to the seeds. As in sifting the soil, watering, ect.
